Last Saturday I was privileged  to speak at the 12th anniversary celebration of the LILLIES VARIETY CLUB under the auspices of the Leadership and Value Culture Development Inititiative (LVCDI)….I spoke on a number of topics as requested. Truly a great seminar.Take out some time to go through excerpts from my discourse below.

CORPORATE Imaging: how to package your Brand and Overcoming the fear of failure

Good afternoon, ladies and Gentlemen….it’s quite an honor to stand to speak before you as a guest of the Lilies Variety Club (LVC) under the auspices of the LEADERSHIP AND Value Culture Development Initiative ( LVCDI) even as you celebrate 12 years of fulfilling that which God has called you to do…I sincerely honor and celebrate you and the hand of God upon you.

12 in biblical understanding is some quarters referred to as the number of faith…others refer to  the number 12 as the number of government. There are 12 fruits of the Spirit, there were 12 sons of Jacob, 12 tribes of Israel and Jesus had 12 disciples…..

As requested, I am going to be speaking on a number of or, if u like, a medley of topics altogether tagged, Corporate Imaging, how to package your brand and overcoming the fear of failure.

One of the most important things I have learnt in my working years or even before is that in mastering anything  or in having dominion over anything, you need to first break it in to simple phases or levels….so in pretty much the same vein, let’s go to the basics to understand what our discourse is about this Saturday afternoon

Corporate Imaging is simply….as I don’t intend to get too technical on you, the manner in which a business and all that is involved in that business or initiative is perceived by the marketplace…suspects, prospects and existing clients.

So the synonyms that readily should come to mind would be identity…branding….perception….reputation amongst others…

Please understand that this is a VERY important and PIVOTAL determinant of the marketplace response to your business or initiatives…..there is just how far you can go if you are not considered to have a good or acceptable or even exceptional corporate image or brand…..that’s why you ought to pay a lot of attention and consideration to it… here is the thing, what YOU don’t pay attention to doesn’t deserve MY consideration!!!!!!!!!

One thing that you MUST get right from the onset is ensuring that your business or initiative is branded and renowned for the right reasons in a bid to ensure a loyal, committed and ever-growing client base. That would be achievable because your image would be based on how well your business strategies and practices are hinged on excellence!!!!! Which in turn is what marks you out for differentiation or distinction thus being a desirable reputation……hmmmmmmmmmmm

The 4 major considerations that would stand you out in the market place are….

  1. The quality of your product/service…
  2. The way the product/service is served or delivered…..Courtesy, Integrity, follow up
  3. The value of your product/service…problem solving???
  4. The consistency of 1,2,3

Having the right business reputation or corporate image is not merely a desire or a wish…..it’s the outcome of a purposeful strategic commitment to excellence. The level of excellence involves having a detailed preparation in ensuring that you have an outstanding product or service and also a pristine and mind blowing way of delivering that product or service. ….ladies and gentlemen, that what gives you distinction!!!!…………………..

Remember..that which you don’t pay adequate attention to deserves no consideration from the Marketplace!!!!!!

And finally, what is the key to overcoming failure?????…….the answer lies in an 11 letter word called PREPARATION…… preparation is the key….preparation is what builds up your confidence….. preparation is what helps you determine what to do, what not to do, how to do, how not to do, when to do, when not to do…and so on and so forth…the level of preparation reflects in the quality of your business which serves to project an image or reputation for your business, organization or initiative.
