“The Situation”……part 2
Great morning,Champions…. Its Wednesday and mid of the business week. How has your week gone thus far?
Thank you for all the letters and mails that have come in following the publishing of the first part of “The Situation“. Your connection to the piece reaffirms to me that I am on the right part to getting people to walk #thePathwayofChampions…..stay with me!
Remember Jeff? Jeff is now at a crossroad as regards his seemingly frustration at his job and how this was affecting other areas of his life. Soon enough his performance on the same job started dropping….he took longer to complete tasks and just was no longer coming up with the creative solutions that he had hitherto been renowned for in the firm. He had lost his spark and now was on the slippery journey of losing relevance….things were not working out well at all……
Jeff made the first great decision he had made in a while….Jeff decided to pray… you see prayer has a way of clearing the fog so you can see where to plant your next step. This is so true because you must understand that you don’t need the uppermost rung of the ladder just yet..what you need now is the closest rung to the you which takes you to next rung which connects you to the next one and on and on it goes till you get to the top….but first, you need the first rung. Hmmmmmmmm. And so Jeff prayed considering his frustration and lack of motivation and then the first rung of his ladder was revealed unto him…he had a heart to heart talk with Maggie, his wife. He poured his heart out to her, highlighting his pain and anguish over the past years, his feelings of incompleteness and inadequacy. He had no idea how She could help him at this point but he knew deep down somewhere on his inside that talking to her was the right thing to do. Maggie patiently listened to her husband, empathising with him over this burden he had carried all these many years whilst being a provider,a father and a husband. She understood that the situation had to be dealt with because she knew that even though weeping may endure for the night,Joy comes in the morning and as such it was time for Jeff to transit from night to morning. Joy had to be restored!!!
This was when I got that email from Jeff…….
Keep walking #thepathwayofchampions
